BiographyHistory

Charles D'Aprano has published in Italian and English and, in addition to his fiction, has written on modern history, Italian democracy and Italian literature. Before gaining a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Melbourne, D'Aprano worked at a variety of jobs from painter to factory hand. He has taught at secondary and tertiary level and, until his retirement in 1987, was Senior Lecturer in Italian at the Swinburne Institute of Technology.
