BiographyHistory

Stephen Leeder graduated in medicine from the University of Sydney in 1961 and gained his PhD from the same institution in 1974. Leeder was the Foundation Professor of Community Medicine at the University of Newcastle (1977-1985) and dean of the medical faculty at the University of Sydney (1996-2002). He has also been a research fellow at Columbia University, New York.
