BiographyHistory

Eduards Smugajs gained a Master's degree in Economics from Riga University, Latvia, and a Master of Education degree from the University of Sydney. His thesis is titled N. K. Krupskaya and the Development of the School System in the U. S. S. R. (1966). He worked as a school teacher and also as a librarian in the Cassette Library for the Blind. His work was first published in magazines and newspapers in Latvia. He contributed articles on social, political and educational issues to almost all of the emigré Latvian press, as well as broadcasting in Latvian radio programs on Literature, Education and History.
