BiographyHistory

Apart from her children's book Dusky Dell (1898), Adams wrote the lyrics of several Australian songs. She won second prize with 'Flickering Candles' in the Australian Broadcasting Commission's play competition for 1935.

Adams was the great-granddaughter of English poet Robert Southey and the sister of Isabell Southey Adams (q.v.).
