BiographyHistory

Slavenas obtained a degree in law from the University of Kaunas, and became a lawyer and subsequently a district judge. After his arrival in Australia, he worked as a boilermaker. Slavenas's poems, short stories, articles and essays were published in the Lithuanian press, and include his reminiscences about prominent Lithuanians in the areas of literature, science and politics, who he had met or worked with. His work was published in a Lithuanian language anthology, Plunksna ir Zodis (1966).
