BiographyHistory

Belfield was an actor and dramatist working in Melbourne and Sydney theatre from the 1840s to the 1860s. Concise Companion to Theatre in Australia (Currency Press, 1997) suggests that Belfield might have been the Francis Belfield O'Brien who was licensed to perform as an actor at Singleton, NSW, in 1846.
