BiographyHistory

Glen Phillips was educated in country town schools and Perth Modern School. He graduated with a Master of Education degree in 1967 from the University of Western Australia. He has served as President of the WA Branch of the Fellowship of Australian Writers and taught English at Edith Cowan University.
Phillips was a founder-member and director of the performance poetry group Poetry in Motion and was a founder of the Katharine Susannah Prichard Writers' Centre. His co-project Landscape and You with artist Judith Dinham, a series of twelve videos, received a national media award after screening on SBS television in 1996.
