BiographyHistory

The Western Australian Branch of the Fellowship of Australian Writers was established in 1938 subsequent to a dinner organised to welcome the American critic, C. Hartley Grattan, to Perth. Mary Durack, one of the organisation's founding members, says that none of the eleven local writers who attended the dinner had made contact with the others before.
