BiographyHistory

A fine art publisher for artists from around the world in the genres of science fiction, fantasy and space, Dreamstone was established in the Canberra suburb of Fyshwick by Bethany Leditschke in the 1980s. The business also operated as a picture gallery selling art prints, painting, art and architecture books, posters, cards and resin models. In addition to science fiction and fantasy art Dreamstone specialised in dragon, fairy, mermaid, gothic, vampire, surreal, environmental and horror genres.

In 1990 Dreamstone branched out into book publishing with the release of the Bertram A. Chandler collection From Sea to Shining Star (q.v.). Leditscke and Dreamstone won a 1999 Australian National Print award for best digitally printed portfolio.
