BiographyHistory

Cath Phillips was the founding editor of the Gay periodicals Burn: Proud to be Different (Jan. 1993 - Mar. 1994) and Capital Q , and edited the fifth edition of TimeOut Sydney (2006). She is a Sydney sculptor and photographic artist; with Greg Preece she initiated the Blue Boat Gallery online as a means to promote their work. An activist, she was appointed in 1989 the first lesbian president of the Sydney Mardi Gras festival.
