BiographyHistory

Currey O'Neil was an off-shoot of Lansdowne Press; formed by an alliance between former editor of Lansdowne, John Currey, and Lloyd O'Neil. The two joined forces and produced nearly fifty titles; five of which were allocated to the Australian Classics Series. Their list was a broad cross-section of Australian material and embraced poetry, humour and general fiction. In 1987 Lloyd O'Neil sold his publishing companies (Lloyd O'Neil Pty Ltd and Currey) to Penguin books.
