In 1945 proprietor Reg Ingamells explained the press's publishing programme: "Jindyworobak Publications is a business which is at the service of the Jindyworobak Club. Any person, approved ... by the General Editor ... may arrange for production...Insofar as club capital is invested in book production, the proceeds of book sales belong to club funds...Private members may invest their own capital by arrangement with the General Editor" (Australian Writers and Artists' Market 151).
