BiographyHistory

The United Kingdom firm of bookbinders, Cedric Chivers, closed in [2004] after 120 years of serving the book trade in and around Bath, United Kingdom. The firm was acquired by Cromwell Press Ltd. and the business combined with Period Bookbinders, also owned by Cromwell, to become the Chivers-Period Bookbindery. Cedric Chivers had a bindery at Portway, Bath, and published 'many popular titles by established authors', including Australian, in its Portway Reprints series of fiction and non-fiction.
