Meredith Resce was born and raised in the Southern Flinders Ranges community of Melrose. She completed her secondary schooling at Booleroo Centre High School. Resce and her husband have worked in various Christian ministries in Victoria and South Australia, and Resce has studied psychology and bible studies.
