Megan Schaffner majored in English and Psychology at the University of Tasmania and has had a varied career in librarianship, teaching (speech and drama) and drama (Repertory and Shakespearian theatre). She taught speech, drama and movement at the Teachers College, Hobart and later was a drama adviser in the Tasmanian Education Department.
