BiographyHistory

Harold Gascoigne was born into a large family in Birmingham, England. He has always been interested in poetry especially of the First World War Poets. After military service in World War II, during which time he was held as a P.O.W. in Germany, he emigrated to Queensland. He retired to Bribie Island in 1985. He was naturalized in 1966.
