BiographyHistory

John Archibald Hilbery studied Science at the University of Sydney and also independently learned about the fine arts. He has been a journalist, a goldminer, and was a Platoon Commander in World War II, from September 1940 to May 1942.

Hilbery's work has appeared in university newspapers and The Sydney Morning Herald. He began writing poetry at the age of six.
