BiographyHistory

Wendy Baarda lived and travelled in Australia and Canada before settling in the Northern Territory, living principally in Yuendemu. She attended the University of Melbourne in the 1960s, but qualified as a teacher at the University of Calgary, after accompanying her geologist husband to Canada. She later settled with her husband in Yuendumu, where she became involved in Yuendumu School's bilingual program.
