BiographyHistory

Jim Legasse gained a BA from Siena College in New York graduating magna cum laude. He was awarded a PhD from Ohio State University (OSU) in 1973. Legasse taught at OSU during 1973 and accepted a position at the University of Western Australia (UWA) the following year. He taught English at UWA from 1974 to 1986, and also taught Creative Writing part-time at the Western Australian Institute of Technology (later Curtin University). Additionally Legasse worked as a scripts consultant for the Australian Broadcasting Commission.

Legasse's stories and poems have been published in a range of literary journals in Australia.
