BiographyHistory

During the 1960s Donald Hutley spent several years living in London before returning to Australia in 1965. In 1973 Hutley was awarded a scholarship to study creative writing at Stanford University in California. He wrote his novel, The Swan, with the assistance of a grant from the Literature Board of the Australia Council in 1974.
