Tim Bowden worked for the ABC for almost 30 years as a foreign correspondent, current affairs reporter, oral historian, documentary maker and original presenter of the ABC TV viewer feedback program Backchat. He was awarded the Order of Australia in 1994 for services to public broadcasting.
