BiographyHistory

Katherine Goode was born and grew up in Los Angeles, and graduated from UCLA in 1971 with a BA in English. In 1973 she was awarded an MA in Special Education - Physically Handicapped from the University of Northern Colorado.

She moved to South Australia in 1981, married an Australian, and became an Australian citizen in 1998. She has a son. She has worked as a staff writer for several publications including The Australian Women's Weekly, The Advertiser and The Australian Jewish News, and has also contributed to the Los Angeles Times, The Australian, She and Australian Society. For two years she was staff scriptwriter for the children's TV programme, "Here's Humphrey". As well as the children's fiction listed below, she has also written six books for the Human Body series (Macmillan Young Library, 1999)
