BiographyHistory

David Berthold has been a leading director in Australian theatre. His roles have included: Artistic Associate of the Queensland Theatre Company (1991-93), Associate Director of Sydney Theatre Company (1994-99), Artistic Director of the Australian Theatre for Young People (1999-2003) and Artistic Director of Griffin Theatre Company (2003- ).

Berthold won the Brisbane Critics' Award for his Contribution to Theatre in Queensland in 1992.
