BiographyHistory

Kavita Nandan is a writer and teacher. She was born in New Delhi, and has lived and studied in India, Fiji, England and Australia.

Kavita has contributed creative non-fiction, short stories, poems, and critical articles to various journals and newspapers. She completed a PhD at the Australian National University, 'Negotiating Histories and Homelands : the Diasporic Narratives of V.S. Naipaul and Salman Rushdie' (2000) and her Masters degree was on Forster's A Passage to India. Nandan also published a critical work on Indian-Fijian writing Stolen Worlds : Fijiindian Fragments ([2005]).
