BiographyHistory

Everett-Green was an English novelist who wrote morality tales for children, historical fiction for older girls, and adult romance fiction. She wrote about 350 books, over 100 of which were written under pen-names. In 1911, Everett-Green moved abroad, eventually settling in Madeira, where she died.

Everett-Green's short fiction sometimes appeared in Australian journals, including the Australian Town and Country Journal. Her long fiction occasionally included Australian characters and settings. Her children's book Priscilla: A Story for Girls (1899), partly set in Australia, and the romance fiction My Cousin from Australia [1894] are both indexed on AustLit. Additionally, the novel Daddy's Ducklings (1927), set entirely in England, contains one character, Uncle Jack, who is from Australia.
