BiographyHistory

Gittins was the daughter of Henry Halliday Smith who was an official in the Queensland Railway Service. She was educated privately at Sandgate. In 1921, Constance Gittins was a foundation member of the Queensland Authors' and Artists' Association. She lived in the Stanthorpe area for many years and was the sister of Gladys Jackson (q.v.).
