  • Aitchison served in the AIF during World War II and was a journalist with the Daily Telegraph (1945-1948) and the ABC (1948-1970). He later held executive positions in organisations within the clothing trade. As well as his two novels, Aitchison also wrote From Bob to Bungles: People in Politics 1966-1970 (1970) and Americans in Australia (1972), and edited Looking at the Liberals (1974).
