BiographyHistory

Kenneth Grenville Gee was born in Sydney and attended Homebush Primary School and Fort Street Boys High before studying law at the University of Sydney. He graduated with an LLB in 1937 and was admitted to practice as a solicitor the following year. He became a QC in 1973 and was a District Court Judge for ten years before his retirement in 1985. Gee wrote several works of non-fiction, but A Maid From Heaven (1966), written as Kenneth Grenville, is his only work of fiction. He is the father of Kate Grenville (q.v).
