BiographyHistory

A Brisbane-based performance artist and poet, Shane Rowlands graduated with an MA (Master of Arts) at the University of Queensland in 1999. Writing 'for live performance and the page', productions of her work include 'Trax' (Mardi Gras Festival, 1994), 'Ghostings' (Shock of the New! Festival, 1995), and with Maryanne Lynch (q.v.), 'Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?' (1998 Brisbane Festival). Rowlands has published two selected works of poetry, Cicatriced Histories [1994] and in collaboration with Susi Blackwell (q.v.) the artist's book, Rear Vision (1997).
