Geoffrey Maloney began to write science fiction while completing his BSc at Sydney University in the late 1970s. Since then he has completed a BA in Indian History and travelled widely in India and Africa. He later settled in Brisbane.

Maloney is interested in the fictional territory that lies between genres and enjoys crafting stories that use avant garde, speculative, mainstream, mystical and horror elements to generate a sense of otherworldliness. His short stories have appeared in magazines in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
