BiographyHistory

Jill Bonner was in her mid to late thirties when she began writing short stories, and it was not until she moved to Kapunda in the Barossa Valley in 1983 and met the country arts officer, Suzanne Laslett, that she began to attend writing workshops and write poetry. She has since run writing workshops for Arts is Us, a regional group of people recovering from mental illness, using poetry as a way for them to regain their confidence and express themselves.
