BiographyHistory

John Encarnação gained his Leaving Certificate in 1959, winning the Roderick Quinn Memorial prize for English Literature. He subsequently studied Law and worked for many years in the New South Wales Public Service in departments dealing with immigration, local government and ethnic affairs. He has read his poetry at various Sydney theatres and festivals of Sydney and on Radios 2JJ and 2EA.
