'CESARE PIOTTI was born Pino Orlando in Rimini in 1971. Lost on the backstreets of Rimini at the age of two, he was found and raised by interior designers until the age of sixteen when he left home after an argument over some curtains. He spent the next few years of his life travelling through the Middle East and the Orient in search of his self, inner peace and cheap leathergoods. He came to Australia in 1994.' (Island 71)
