Dr. David Bennett was founding director of the Interdepartmental Cultural Studies program at the University of Melbourne and has held the Chair of Research in the Department of English at the same university. He gained his B.A. and D.Phil. degrees in English and Related Literature at the University of York. He and his teaching interests continue to cross the border between literary and cultural studies.
