BiographyHistory

Nagarluma man, Parraruru was one of the most prolific 'Yindjibarndi language poets and storytellers of the second half of the twentieth-century. He was a mawarnkarra (magician) who was believed to possess remarkable powers. He worked extensively with linguists and anthropologists, who recorded his Yindjibarndi and Ngarluma oral literature and descriptions of life in the Pilbara desert, Western Australia.'
