Aub Podlich served as a Lutheran pastor in South Australia and Queensland. His writing reflects his love of nature and the Creator, and he has also published Beyond the Trees : meditations on the environment (1989), The Singing Web : meditations on nature's patterns and God's plans (1978) and two other books on religion, Friend to Friend (1987, for children) and Something to Hang On To [1988]. In 1995 he published Our People Our Church, a local history of German families in Kalbar.
