BiographyHistory

Ackland is the daughter of artists John and Eugenie Rowell. She has an honours degree from Melbourne University and has studied in the United Kingdom. She has served as president of International PEN Melbourne Centre, poetry editor for the National Council of Women and on the editorial collective of Luna.
