BiographyHistory

'Stephen Prickett is Regius Professor Emeritus of English, at Glasgow University and honorary Professor at the University of Kent, Canterbury. Previous posts include Sussex University, the Australian National University, Duke University, and Baylor University, where he was Director of the Armstrong Browning Library. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities, former Chairman of the U.K. Higher Education Foundation, and former President of the European Society for the Study of Literature and Theology. He has published two novels, nine monographs, seven edited volumes, and over ninety articles on Romanticism, Victorian Studies, literature and theology.'
