BiographyHistory

Webb was educated in England and Australia, and holds a postgraduate degree in English from the University of Western Australia. He has travelled extensively and lived for a time in France, and has been employed as a school teacher. Webb has lived in Fremantle and is the author of Junk Male: reflections on Australian masculinity (1998).

Webb says of his writing: '[It] is to do with identity ... to discover where I came from and where I am going, in order to counter a feeling of loss of identity.' (Inside dust jacket, Midwinter Spring).
