BiographyHistory

Russ Tyson joined the Australian Broadcasting Commission as a cadet announcer in 1939. Described by Sir Charles Moses as 'a natural announcer' he became a household name throughout Australia through the daily Breakfast Session and Hospital Half Hour program which he took over in 1949.
