BiographyHistory

' Peter Otto has a PhD from the University of Adelaide. He is Deputy Head of the English Department at the University of Melbourne. Amongst numerous administrative roles he has been Head of the English Department at Melbourne (2002-3), and Associate Dean (IT&MM) for the Arts Faculty. He teaches and researches in the literatures and cultures of modernity, from Romanticism to the new media of today. His research focuses on 'Multiplying Worlds: Romanticism, Modernity, and the emergence of Virtual Reality.' He has published two books on Romantic poet/artist/prophet William Blake, co-edited two collections of articles on Romanticism and one on the work of Raymond Williams, and co-edited a large micro-film collection of Gothic texts.'
