BiographyHistory

The ballad Thomas Kennedy's March from Creswick's Creek, by Harry Hastings Pearce (q.v.) recounts the events of 30 November 1854 when Thomas Kennedy and George Black, delegates from the Ballarat Reform League, left Creswick's Creek and marched to Ballarat, in support of the diggers' rebellion. Kennedy was regarded by Pearce as 'the only true radical among the Eureka leaders' (Preface).
