BiographyHistory

Emily Pelloe worked as a journalist at the West Australian, where for many years she conducted the women's page under the name 'Ixia'. She was a keen horsewoman and was also an authority on West Australian flora. At the time of her death she was president of the Perth Women Writers Club. In addition to her works listed on AustLit, Pelloe also wrote two monographs: Wildflowers of Western Australia (1921) and West Australian Orchids (1930).
