BiographyHistory

McAulay's father was in the Australian Army from 1939 to 1946 and McAulay also joined the Army (1960-1982). He was a veteran of the Vietnam War with three tours of duty and a period on the military attache staff in the Australian Embassy, Saigon. McAulay published widely on World War II and Australia's military involvement in the Vietnam War.
