Notes

  • Clow also wrote pamphlets on immigration and on religion. Some of his works were re-issued in one volume as "Cy-Clowpedia" [192-?]. A list of his books printed by Baxter and Stubbs, Ballarat, includes "Orro-wonkel" a book on Aboriginal languages, but this has not been traced. Clow states in "Among the Chief Colonials" (p. 87) that he changed his name by "special deed" to Robitt Jon Clow (from Robert John Clow). Note: NBD misspells the first name in most of Clow's entries as "Robbitt".
