BiographyHistory

Gerard Windsor studied with the Jesuits but left before ordination. He has completed degrees at both the Australian National University and Sydney University. Much of his writing is influenced by his Irish Catholic family background, Catholic education and feeling for Ireland, where he lived for a time.

As well as his works listed in AustLit, Windsor has also written an account of Australian soldiers who fought in the Vietnam War, All Day Long the Noise of Battle (2011).
