BiographyHistory

Osvaldo Bonutto was unable to attend high school in Italy and took correspondence lessons helped by a priest and a cousin who was a teacher. He learned English before coming to Australia. His first language was Furlan, a Latin language with its own grammar. He worked in Queensland as a labourer, store-keeper, salesperson, newsagent, tobacco farmer and hotel keeper. He has been an interpreter for the Justice Department and became a Justice of the Peace. He was foundation President of Fogolur Furlan and the Italo Australian Brisbane Club.
