BiographyHistory

Robert Ross completed a PhD on Patrick White at the University of Texas (Arlington) in 1982. He maintained his interest in Australian literature and other postcolonial literatures in the University of Texas system as director of the Edward A. Clark Center for Australian Studies. In 1986 he was the founding editor of Antipodes, an Australian studies journal based in the United States. He remained active in these positions until his retirement in 2001, publishing, in the process, many articles and reviews on Australian literature.
