BiographyHistory

After a childhood in Mornington, Victoria, Fional Moorhead completed an Arts degree at the University of Tasmania. She was a teacher for a few years before becoming a full-time writer in 1973. She has been involved in the women's liberation movement since the 1970s and followed the philosophy of radical feminism during the 1980s. Moorhead has been the recipient of large grants from the Literature Board of the Australia Council.
