BiographyHistory

In 1966, Alba Romano resigned her professorship at the University of Rosario, Argentina, in protest against the military regime. Also knowledgable of French, Italian and German, she taught in the Classical Studies Department of Monash University, Melbourne, where she specialised in Latin literature and taught comparative literature until 1998.
